Demand for property increases in November

The market for property in the UK showed an increase in activity in
November as the demand for houses increased.
According to the latest figures from the Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors (Rics), seven per cent more surveyors reported
an increase in demand than those who reported a decrease during the
month.
This positive move was the third consecutive month where the demand
for properties increased. The last time the market saw three
consecutive positive months was in the Spring of 2010.
An increase in the demand is good news for those with
property for sale in London who want to shift their house and
have struggled in the poor marketplace.
Rics housing spokesperson, Alan Collett, said: "It is encouraging
that buyer interest has edged upwards in the face of the endless
diet of negative news from Europe and the turmoil in financial
markets."
In November Rics reported that activity in the market had increased
by eight per cent in October.
